Description
A great whisky drinker’s whisky – this 15-year-old Glenfarclas from the family-run distillery is bottled at 46% abv simply because the owner’s grandfather preferred it that way.
They say fathers build, sons expand, and grandsons destroy. But that was not the case with this family. Every progeny made the Spirit-making business stronger while still keeping the ancient recipe intact. This is the perfect Scotch for fathers of all generations.
The maker of this Spirit is one of the few remaining independent and family-owned distilleries in Scotland. It was started in 1836 by Robert Hay, and bought by John Grant a few decades later. Nowadays it’s run by the 6th generation of the Grant family, making it truly independent.
The 15 years is a rich and complex expression that matured exclusively in Sherry casks for 15 years.
