The Glenmorange Distillery was founded in 1843 by William Matheson in the Scottish Highlands. The pure, smooth spirit of Glenmorangie is distilled in Scotland’s highest decanter and matured in the best quality barrels, perfected by The Tain Men.

Glenmorangie’s American white oak barrels are hand picked from the Ozark Mountains in Missouri. Then they aired the oak for two years, then loaned it to bourbon producers like Jack Daniels for four years for their own maturation, and then retrieved the current former bourbon casks to make Glenmore The Lankan whisky matures. Glenmorangie’s water flows from Tarlogie Springs on the hill above the winery.

Glenmorangie 18 Years is the famous Highland single malt Scotch whisky of the Glenmorangie brand. It also marked the entry of Glenmorangie’s prestige. The box and bottle are large and strong, indicating that Glenmorangie is very careful about the performance of this whisky.

Glenmorangie 18 Years uses unique technology to create. After 15 years of aging in white oak barrels of former bourbon in the United States, one third of the whiskey is transferred to Spain’s Oloroso sherry barrels to spend the last three years of maturation . When both barrels reach 18 years old, they will be mixed together to create an expression that is both rich and full of flavor. The bottled at the standard is 43% ABV.

TO THE EYE

Dear Amber. The brilliant colors come from the unique aging process of American white oak barrels and Spanish Oloroso sherry barrels.

TO THE NOSE

Full-bodied, round and sweet, with dried fruit and complex floral fragrance.

TO THE TONGUE

The taste is balanced between honey, malt and floral aromas. Dates and figs appear in the background with a hint of wood smoke.

TO THE END

The finish is long and enticing with the sweetness of dried fruit and subtle dryness of Oloroso nuttiness.
